Le Locle Quality Assurance Analyst Karin Balanche Says Quality is Collaborative
Karin Balanche, quality assurance analyst at Integra’s Le Locle, Switzerland manufacturing facility, has been with the company for more than six years. She remains just as passionate and energized about her work since her first day because of the collaboration of her team and impact of Integra’s technologies on patients. She oversees customer satisfaction, with elements of compliance and regulatory affairs for products like shunts, valves, and catheters for neurosurgery.
Karin’s role includes analysis and project management, while working with many cross-functional teams such as engineering, R&D and legal. Each assignment is different, which keeps the work exciting. Karin is proud to partner with her team to help restore patients’ lives. She says, “There was a 12-year-old patient who visited our site to thank us. That patient is alive and well because of the work we do in quality. I am grateful to everyone I work with at Integra because we are committed to quality, and it makes a difference.”
In her free time, Karin loves to travel and is fluent in both French and English. Before living in France, she has resided in Canada and New Zealand. Her global perspective helps her work with different affiliates to improve the lives of patients around the world.
