OUR HISTORY
1989
Dr. Richard Caruso founded Integra LifeSciences and the company acquired collagen technology.
1996
Integra® Dermal Regeneration Template approved by the FDA and is engineered to promote the regeneration of dermal tissue.
1999
Leveraging its tissue regeneration technology, Integra received FDA clearance of DuraGen® Dural Graft Matrix for use as a dura substitute for the repair of the dura mater.
2001
NeuraGen® Nerve Guide is FDA cleared and provides a protective environment across nerve discontinuities.
2003
Integra acquired Jarit® Surgical Instruments and enters the specialty surgical instruments market.
2015
Integra acquired SurgiMend® Collagen Matrix for Soft Tissue Reconstruction with a broad range of applications from hernia repair to plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Acquired the Codman® Neurosurgery business and became the global leader of neurosurgical products.
