Strengthening Outcomes Together: A Conversation with Two Brothers at Integra LifeSciences
At Integra LifeSciences, our values come to life through the people who support our customers and patients every day. In recognition of Wound Healing Awareness Month, we’re proud to spotlight brothers Patrick and Jeff, account managers in our Tissue Technologies division, whose partnership, dedication, and shared purpose reflect what it means to collaborate to win. More than colleagues, they’ve been best friends from day one, building a bond that extends from their personal lives into their work and shapes how they show up for their customers, patients, and team. They grew up in the Philadelphia area and now reside in sunny Florida. Learn more about them below.
You’re brothers working in the same division. What makes that unique?
- Patrick (Wound Reconstruction Solutions): We’ve been best friends from the start, and that’s never changed, even when we were living together and now working side by side. We’re always focused on making each other better. It’s never about outdoing one another. It’s about putting each other, and our customers, in the best position to succeed. Honestly, I get a little emotional thinking about it. I’m almost in tears sometimes because of how close we are and how fortunate we are to do this together.
- Jeff (Surgical Reconstruction): It creates a strong sense of trust, not just between us, but with our customers. Hospitals and surgeons know they can call either of us and get support. That kind of partnership really stands out and helps create a family-like environment in the field. Family has always been at the center of everything we do, both at home and at work.
How do you work together to support customers and patients?
- Patrick : We’re both very hands-on. Whether it’s being present in the operating room (OR), supporting reimbursement processes, or helping set up access for a new product, we show up as a team. That consistency builds trust and moves patient care forward. We also live close to our parents, and that foundation of family carries into how we approach our work - with care, responsibility, and a sense of purpose.
- Jeff: It’s constant collaboration. We’re sharing insights, talking through cases, helping each other navigate challenges. If one of us sees an opportunity to help a surgeon or patient, we jump in with no hesitation. In the OR, we’re often supporting very serious cases, but we balance that intensity by keeping things human, building real relationships with our surgeons, getting to know them personally, and creating an environment of trust and comfort.
How does your partnership reflect Integra’s values like Collaborate to Win, Champion Our People and Live Quality?
- Patrick: They define how we work. We’re not just working together, we’re actively pushing each other and our team to improve. That shows up in how we support each other, our teammates, and our customers every day. Our team truly feels like family to us. We’re incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the way we all show up for one another.
- Jeff: Whether it’s ensuring product availability, supporting a case, or doing what’s right for the patient, we take that responsibility seriously. We’re lucky to have a team that works the same way. We support each other, trust each other, and celebrate wins together, just like a family would.
Can you share an example of how you’ve worked together to make an impact?
- Patrick: There are times when a surgeon needs something immediately, and we step in together to make it happen. That responsiveness can make a real difference. It’s those moments where our partnership, and the support of our team, really shows.
- Jeff: We also work closely across our portfolios, helping surgeons understand the full range of options and ensuring they’re using the right solution for each patient. Because of the strong relationships we’ve built, those conversations go beyond products. We’re trusted partners in the care process.
What motivates you in your work?
- Patrick: We both come from athletic backgrounds, and that drives us into what we do. We’re always learning, always preparing, and always focused on delivering the best for our customers. I’m incredibly grateful to Integra LifeSciences for giving us the opportunity to do this work side by side.
- Jeff: At the end of the day, it’s about making our patients and surgeons feel supported, and making our family proud. We feel fortunate to do this work together, alongside our Integra LifeSciences and customer team that feels like family.
