Integra LifeSciences Announces Definitive Agreement To Acquire Acclarent®
PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 13, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq: IART), a global leader in medical technology, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Acclarent, Inc. from Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson MedTech company for $275 million in cash at closing, subject to customary purchase price adjustments, and an additional $5 million upon the achievement of certain regulatory milestones. Acclarent is an innovator and market leader in ENT procedures and upon closing, Integra will be one of the leading providers of ENT products and technologies.

Karin Balanche, quality assurance analyst at Integra’s Le Locle, Switzerland manufacturing facility, has been with the company for more than six years. She remains just as passionate and energized about her work since her first day because of the collaboration of her team and impact of Integra’s technologies on patients. She oversees customer satisfaction, with elements of compliance and regulatory affairs for products like shunts, valves, and catheters for neurosurgery.
Cincinnati Quality Engineer Nicholas Bozovich Believes Quality is About Small Improvements
Nicholas Bozovich is a senior quality engineer who ensures the products we deliver fulfill regulations, standards and specifications set by external bodies and Integra. He works out of Integra’s Cincinnati, Ohio manufacturing facility which produces devices for neurosurgery and other procedures like liver surgery. In his career, Nicholas has held adjacent roles in engineering manufacturing and new product development and says he has always worked with the quality team so was well suited to transition into this area.
Integra Named Champion of Board Diversity for Second Year
For the second year in a row, Integra was designated a Champion of Board Diversity by The Forum of Executive Women. Companies who made the list have Boards of Directors that are comprised of at least 30 percent women. The organization annually honors public companies in the Philadelphia region who embrace diversity in their Boards not only by gender, but also race and ethnicity.

It feels like I’ve always been running. I’ll never forget my pursuit of my childhood dream to be an Olympic Track and Field gold medalist. My dream almost came true in the 2004 Olympic Trials in Sacramento, California. While I finished in 10th place in the 1500-meter final and didn’t go on to compete in Athens, Greece, it was an honor to make it as far as I did. My upbringing and training in Atlanta, Georgia from an early age all the way through to attending University of Georgia on a Track and Field scholarship taught me a lot about discipline, passion and living life to its fullest.
