Hydrocephalus
Hydrocephalus is a condition in which excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) builds up in the brain, increasing pressure that can cause brain damage or become life-threatening if left untreated. It can occur at birth or develop later in life and is typically caused by a blockage in CSF flow, overproduction of CSF, or reduced absorption into the bloodstream.
